    Job Description & Qualifications

    Job Summary

    Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.

     

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

    • Provides full service support for assigned customer base/territory.
    • Make sales calls with Outside Sales Representatives and/or Product Specialists, contacting customers and making presentations.
    • Manages sales volume with existing customer group and assists with prospecting to expand the customer
    • Teams with National Sales Managers on presentations and proposals for customers.
    • Participates in pricing for assigned.
    • Partners with customers, vendors, credit, and A/R to resolve customer service
    • Attends trade shows and promotes assigned product line. 

    Nature and Scope

    • Works in compliance with established procedures and/or Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
    • Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
    • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support

    Work Environment

    • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
    • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
    • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be eighteen years of age
    • Must pass the Drug Test
    • Must pass the Background Check
    • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

    Education and Experience

    • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.

    • Interest in and delivery of emerging technology into the business world.
    • Demonstrated history of holding effective leadership positions (e.g. associations, college groups, etc.)
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other common Project Presentation software and hardware.
