Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for gathering disparate data from various data sources; analyze and normalize to ensure data integrity for analysis. Provide consistent, relevant and accurate data as well as guidance/knowledge of the data and definitions that are available for analysis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, reports, makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks, determines trends, and prepares cost analyses.
  • Provides support to the Human Resource function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced and predictive analytics.
  • Utilizes technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people and other cross- functional data as needed.
  • Identify statistical analysis techniques required to deliver insights.
  • Performs financial analysis around HR budget and support optimal cost management solutions and execute effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across HR and the businesses. Participates in department and interdepartmental projects. May make presentations.
  • Conducts data analysis and prepares spreadsheets and reports with charts and graphs. May deliver presentations to leadership.


Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.


Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable


Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with HR/organizational people data preferred (e.g. headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics).
  • Experience in aggregating large volumes of financial data for analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, pivot tables, macros, etc.).
  • Familiarity with statistical packages a plus
