    Job Summary

    Repair products returned with defects and communicate with the customer and vendor.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for daily repairs and troubleshooting including, maintenance, design, and documentation.
    • Contacts customer, vendors and internal department via phone, fax, or e-mail.
    • Creates sales and purchase orders.
    • Maintains accurate documentation on all repairs.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Nature and Scope

    • Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
    • Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

     

    Work Environment

    • Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes, or odors.
    • No travel required.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squat.

     

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • Must be eighteen years of age
    • Must pass the Drug Test
    • Must pass the Background Check
    • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

     

    Education and Experience

    • HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

    Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associates Degree, certificate or diploma in Fluid Power or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
    • 2 years' experience in an electronics and/or mechanical field.
    • Repair and maintain pipe fusion equipment and provide technical support to customers.  Experience in responsibilities listed below:
      • Troubleshooting and repair of fluid power systems.
      • Electrical repair of single and three phase systems.
      • Utilizing web based schematics for diagnosing and repair.
      • General equipment maintenance and repair.
    • The associate in this position will also:
      • Aid in daily warehouse operations and HDPE fabrication.
      • Coordinate rentals with managers, inside sales personnel, and customers.
      • Perform general computer works (Email/Web/Word/Excel).
      • Provide field support for equipment when needed.
      • Compile parts orders.
